Greetings! My name is Michelle Roethig and I'm a Pathway Connect Student currently learning how to write in HTML. This is something that has alwasy intrigued me so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have an offical class. I'm working toward a degree in Applied Technology and I'm excited to finally be going back to school.

I am a wife, a mother of three grown children and grandmother to one grandson. We have a totally goofy dog who fits into our family like he was made for us. I love spending time with my family, and fortunately for me, during this pandemic I've had lots of time to spend with them as I have two of my children and grandson living with me.

I'm an author, which isn't a title I own very often as I'm not very well known. But recently I was encouraged to share those accomplishments so here I am publicly stating that I'm an author of a handful of published works. It's something I REALLY enjoy doing, plotting, researching, creating, writing, and living in fantasy worlds. Yes, I do talk to myself because occasionally I need to have a deep conversation with the characters in my head.

I love to read as well as write. I love to bake and cook. I love movies and popcorn. I love learning new things. I pin a lot on Pinterest and one-click more than I should on Amazon. I'm a sucker for kitchen gadgets and if there's an app for that, I'll find it!

I'm so impressed with BYU-Idaho and the development of the Pathways and Pathways Connect programs. There is something to be said of a faith based learning model and how much it makes a difference in a persons life. I didn't realize how much I really enjoy the religous side of learning. Additionally I never thought it'd be possible to go back to school at my age and get an education. I don't need an education for a job, but I've always wanted to have some formal education behind my name. Heaven knows I've put a lot of my life on hold to raise a family and it was the one thing I wished I had...formal education and something physical to show for it. If anything, this is peace of mind for myself and that is priceless.
